My name is Rachel. I’m a designer, momma of one, wife, and the magic behind IHANA, where I create unique and nature inspired jewelry. I was born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, in a tiny town on the lake. I work out of my small home studio with my 4 year old assistant by my side.
My inspiration comes from my upbringing on the shores of Lake Superior, where I spent many childhood days and nights searching for agates and chasing fire flies, surrounded by white birch trees with soaring birds overhead. I was blessed to have a mother who chose a summer day at the lake over work in the office.
IHANA Jewelry came to life shortly after having my darling daughter, Rilyn Hazel. Knowing my heart yearned to create, and with the support of my amazing husband, I enrolled in a few short silversmithing courses. IHANA was born from there, which has been evolving ever since. I create jewelry that suits my own personal style, sometimes its pretty and petite, sometimes is bold and vibrate.
